Dan is the CEO of Lin Pictures, a filmed entertainment production company that he formed in January 2008. Dan produced “Sherlock Holmes,” directed by Guy Ritchie and starring Robert Downey Jr.; “The Invention of Lying,” directed by Ricky Gervais and Matthew Robinson and starring Ricky Gervais and Jennifer Garner; and “The Box,” directed by Richard Kelly and starring Cameron Diaz. He also executive produced “Terminator Salvation,” directed by McG and starring Christian Bale; and “Shorts” directed by Robert Rodriguez. Other projects in development include "Sherlock Holmes 2", "The Gangster Squad", "The Lego Movie", "Spy Hunter", "Godzilla", and "Bone".

In September 2008, Dan was honored as one of Variety’s “10 Producers to Watch.” Earlier in 2005, he was profiled on the Hollywood Reporter’s “Next Generation List.”

Prior to forming Lin Pictures, Dan served as Senior Vice President of Production for Warner Bros. Pictures until December 2007. While at Warners from 1999-2007, he oversaw the development and production of the Academy Award-winning film “The Departed,” directed by Martin Scorsese. Other films Dan oversaw include “10,000 BC,” directed by Roland Emmerich; “The Aviator,” directed by Martin Scorsese; "Alexander" directed by Oliver Stone, “TMNT”; “Invasion”; “Unaccompanied Minors”; "Matchstick Men"; “Scooby-Doo 2”; and “Torque.”

Dan received his undergraduate degree from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 1994 and his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School in 1999.

He was born in Taipei, Taiwan and speaks fluent Chinese.
