Dan Lin

Dan is the CEO of Lin Pictures, a filmed entertainment production company that he formed in January 2008. Recently he produced "Gangster Squad," directed by Ruben Fleischer and starring Josh Brolin, Ryan Gosling, Sean Penn and Emma Stone. He has also produced "Sherlock Holmes" and "Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows", the hit series directed by Guy Ritchie and starring Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law.

Lin is also the producer of several major upcoming films, including "The Lego Movie", directed by Christopher Miller and Phil Lord; and "Moses."

Previously, Dan was honored as one of Variety's "10 Producers to Watch." Earlier in 2005, he was profiled on the Hollywood Reporter's "Next Generation List."

Prior to forming Lin Pictures, Dan served as Senior Vice President of Production for Warner Bros. Pictures until December 2007. While at Warners from 1999-2007, he oversaw the development and production of the Academy Award-winning film "The Departed," directed by Martin Scorsese. Other films Dan oversaw include "10,000 BC," directed by Roland Emmerich; "The Aviator," directed by Martin Scorsese; "Alexander" directed by Oliver Stone, "TMNT"; "Invasion"; "Unaccompanied Minors"; "Matchstick Men"; "Scooby-Doo 2"; and "Torque."

Dan serves on the Board of Directors for the Coalition of Asian Pacifics in Entertainment; the Advisory Board for Pepperdine University's Center for Entertainment, Media, and Culture; and is a mentor for both the Producer's Guild of America and the Center for Asian American Media.

He received his undergraduate degree from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 1994 and his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School in 1999.
