
JON began his career ten years ago as an assistant to producer Scott Rudin; he currently works at Warner Brothers as the Senior Vice President of Production at Lin Pictures. Under Lin Pictures’ first look deal at Warner Brothers, Jon is a Co-Producer on projects including: "Gangster Squad," based on the series of LA Times articles of the same name, directed by Ruben Fleischer and starring Josh Brolin, Ryan Gosling, Sean Penn and Emma Stone; “Trust Your Eyes,” an adaptation of Linwood Barclay’s novel with Todd Phillips attached to direct; Stephen King’s “It," with Cary Fukunaga attached to direct; the comic book adaptation of Jeff Smith's "Bone," with PJ Hogan attached to direct; “The Rabbit,” a spec script written by Micah Barnett with Chris Tucker attached to star; an untitled supernatural thriller that Joe Ahearne is writing; and "The Karma Coalition," a spec script written by Shawn Christensen. Jon is an Executive Producer on “The Lost Legion,” based on the first encounter between the Roman Empire and the Han Dynasty of ancient China, which is being written by Kurt Johnstad. In November, 2009, Jon was profiled on The Hollywood Reporter's "Next Generation List."
Prior to joining Lin Pictures, Jon served as Director of Development at the management/production company Benderspink. At Benderspink, Jon set up projects for Benderspink to produce, including "The Hole" at Bold Films, a 3-D film directed by Joe Dante; "Pet Robots" at Disney and "Hyperactive" at Paramount Pictures; and "Sweep the Leg" at Summit Entertainment.
Previously Jon worked at Gold Circle Films where he brought in “Life as We Know It,” directed by Greg Berlanti, starred Katherine Heigl and Josh Duhamel, and was distributed by Warner Brothers in 2010. Prior to Gold Circle Films, Jon worked in the film group at Universal Pictures. Before working in film, Jon was as an editor at Hippy Comix, an underground comic book publisher.
Jon grew up primarily in Berkeley, CA, and spent parts of his childhood in France, Australia, Idaho, and England. He is conversationally fluent in French.
Childhood ambition: To be a comic book writer/illustrator who gets to draw and write stories all day long
